Der nordirische Sänger und Songwriter Van Morrison kommt am 12. Juni 2019 erstmals für ein Konzert in die Uber Arena und wird sein aktuelles Album "The Prophet Speaks" präsentieren.

Der in Belfast geborene und 2015 von Queen Elisabeth II. in den Adelsstand erhobene Sir Van Morrison ist einer der größten noch lebenden weißen Blues-Legenden. Als einer der ersten vereint er Musikstile wie Jazz, Blues, Country, Folk, Gospel und Rock, was auch in seinem 1968 erschienen Album "Astral Weeks" zu hören ist. "Astral Weeks" ist eines der wichtigsten und besten Alben van Morrisons. Es folgten die Platten, die von Country oder keltisch-irischer Stimmung inspiriert waren. So veröffentlichte er 1988 zusammen mit der irischen Folkband The Chieftains das von irischen Traditionals geprägte Album "Irish Heartbeat".
Einen seiner denkwürdigsten Auftritte hatte Van Morrison 1990 am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, als er zusammen mit vielen Musikerkollegen an der von Roger Waters organisierten Aufführung von "The Wall" teilnahm.
1993 folgte für Van Morrison die Aufnahme in die Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Zahlreiche Gold- und Platinschallplatten sowie Grammy Awards kann der Ire sein Eigen nennen. Der Rolling Stone listete Van Morrison 2010 auf Rang 42 der 100 größten Musiker aller Zeiten.
