Sie ist eine der begabtesten Soulsängerinnen der Welt und hat nun ein Konzert in Berlin angekündigt: Am 5. Juni 2019 ist Erykah Badu live auf der Bühne der Uber Eats Music Hall zu erleben.
Mit ihrem Erfolgsalbum "Baduizm", das 1997 veröffentlicht wurde, schaffte die Neo-Soul Göttin ihren Durchbruch. Das mit Triple-Platin ausgezeichnete Debütalbum landete auf Platz 2 der Billboard Charts. Zahlreiche Hit-Alben und Erfolgs-Singles folgten, darunter Arbeiten wie "On & On", "You Got Me" und "Love Of My Life".
Die US-Amerikanerin vereint verschiedenste musikalische Einflüsse, die sie in das Genre des Nu-Soul/Neo-Soul einordnen und in eine Liga mit Größen wie Maxwell und D'Angelo stellen. Mit The Roots, die gemeinsam mit Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def am 11. Juli 2019 in der Uber Eats Music Hall ein Konzert geben, veröffentlichte Badu die Erfolgssingle "You Got Me".
